Nobles and commoners alike celebrate this holiday at the conclusion of winter each year.

Snowburn is held to commemorate the triumph of the sun, Arn, over the frigid winter winds and the burning away of the snows. This festival takes many shapes and forms throughout northern arland but a common element is the use of yellow and red candles to symbolize the return of the Light-Bringer, Arn. Like many festivals throughout the winter months, Snowburn is a celebration of plenty and of warm companionship to stave off the harsh conditions of winter.
