The Rain Shield spell creates a thin hemisphere of force that floats a few feet above the head of the caster. The hemisphere is ten feet across and five feet tall.
It supports no weight but is able to deflect rain up to a moderate shower. Something as hard as a significant thunderstorm would require additional casting to add to its strength. The spell will not stop projectiles nor provide protection or cover from falling debris.
The spell lasts for an hour per caster level and is fixed upon the caster's head as it's location.
This spell is an elaboration on the Force Disk spell. By altering the parameters of the spell Kyson decreased the amount of weight that it could hold to increase its duration and doubled its diameter plus gave it a concave depression.
