The evocation school of magic includes spells that manipulate energy or tap an unseen source of power in order to produce a desired end. In effect, they create something out of nothing. Many of these spells produce spectacular effects, and evocation spells can deal large amounts of damage. Many iconic offensive spells such as magic missile, lightning bolt and fireball are of the evocation school. A wizard who specializes in evocation is known as an evoker.
