This is the Lexichron of the Solonari Wizard, Ambrodel. Created initially before the start of the Witchgate Wars, the stone was sent by Ambrodel through the portal from where he was trapped in the Shard Realm of Umbara before the gates were destroyed by the King of Solandyl.

Description[]

The stone, in its inert state, is described as the size of a walnut and made out of a dull, blue crystal that is probably Azureite. The crystal is an octahedron with two, four-sided pyramids connected at their base.

When Kyson discovers the stone his friend, Mazryth, tells him that he should carry the stone with him. To facilitate this, Mazryth, purchases for him a setting to hold the stone as an amulet.

Kyson-Amulet

The setting is a dragon's claw with four talons clutching the stone between them. The claw is affixed within a sphere of metal that has been decorated to look like a knotted ball; a monkey's fist. A metal ring rests beyond the knotted ball where the leather thong is looped through to be worn.

History[]

The name, Ambrodeli Hadronai Nuroleen, is simply its designation within the Gnomish records of Tor Gizad. Ambrodeli Hadronai refers to a Hadron Crystal (object) created by the wizard Ambrodel. Nuroleen simply means 'lost' or 'unknown' or possibly 'uncounted' as there was no way of knowing if this was his first (which would be called 'An') or seventh (called 'Mey').

The stone was being carried by Ambrodel's wondrous figure, Bethyr. Although it was never known to whom he sent the stone, it is known that it did not arrive. The owl held the stone and constantly saught out the target but when the duration of its spell expired, the owl returned to its figurine form and the Simulachron was transformed with it.

When the wizard apprentice, Kyson.  was able to read the name of the wondrous figure and the small stone statue turned into a large, white owl - the stone fell out of its claws and landed on his bed.
